The Rules
Sorry to have to say it again, but Amacker really cannot have visitors outside of family yet. Alden and I got griped at by a nurse today, because it seems some of Amacker's friends came to visit her while we were in the cafeteria. I tried to take a picture of "The Rules" as posted outside the I.C.U., but my cellphone's camera is lousy.
I know you really want to see her. In fact, I know she really wants to see you, But I'm sorry, you just cannot. The I.C.U. is strictly family only.
Hopefully very soon she will be in a room where you all can visit her, but even then we have plans to keep it organized.
Thanks for your help in this.

Amacker, welcome back, I've missed you so very, very much.
I know you're not ready to hold court just yet for the many, many of us.
As much as I wanted to sit with you as you slept and wandered, wanted to whisper in your ear, to make you laugh, to comfort you, to anchor you here with us, I'd like to be there with you, now that you're waking up.
I stay away, but my thoughts are with you.
love, Kathleen
I won't visit until she's well enough to complain about the photo of her you used for the blog. :) -Vonn
Yes Richard darling, you do have to say it again because not everybody has been keeping up with every single entry of the many, many you have supplied. Don't stop, they're great, it's just that some of us don't get to come up for air much. I thought she was at least out of the ICU by now, from the way things sounded.
There is a possibility of doing something spiritual for her to keep away the yucky energy that floats around in hospitals. I know for an absolute fact that she would like that, and I can gather some major heavy hitters in that area who know and like her. However, it's a tough thing to do remotely without having seen the room or at least a picture of the inside and maybe its location on a diagram of the building. Any ideas?
I feel bad about leaning toward treating a valued friendship like a buffet (i.e. going outside and smoking until the line goes down, which unfortunately could take several months in this case). But my knees are too shredded to help with heavy-lifting projects at her house and the Balinese are doing all the sewing (though I might do some on my own) and I'm about ready to throw in the towel. (At least, being a good hitchhiker, I know where my towel is). Amacker, sweetie - I guess, "what Kathleen said." I can't even come up with anything to match it.
