Song of the Day: Summertime
Today is one of those perfect Northern California days... not a cloud in the sky... already perfectly warm. Amacker is going to go exploring throughout the hospital grounds. The gardens are all blooming. It's a good day to get out of bed, for certain.
Her three ghosts (therapy appointments):
11a: Occupational Therapy
1p: Speech Therapy
3p: Physical Therapy
Amacker now takes trips whenever she's up to it. She gets herself in and out of her chair, and we push her where she wants to go. When I came in this morning Larry the Wonder-Nursing-Assistant was washing her hair for her. She was really happy to have it cleaned. She's also a pretty big fan of Larry. I also got a good look at the back of her neck. It's healing up very nicely, and the hair is already starting to grow over the area.
I'm going to spend the morning with her... I can work here just as well as anywhere else, if only she'd shut up every now and then. She's quite the chatter bug.

Hey, all you amazing people and most of all my beloved "evol twin"... Finally got the weird (I think it routes through a satellite to the UK, or something) internet access we have here to allow me to post things.
I won't be in the US until August end (get two weeks R n R then) but wherever herself is at by then I will be there! Can drive or take train up from Santa Barbara....any way....this may sound odd...but I have these "things" she sent me over here that I am supposed to return (w/photos) plus the prezzies already bought for her before the aweful event--will August be too early to show up w/an armful of "stuff"? Well, half a duffel bag, actually.. Reading comments and the script, it seems many are bringing food; I'm just unsure about the pottery *g* OOPS!! Don't tell her!!
Anyway...six weeks is too long...but will pass in a flash....hugs and love, Lysandwr

Wow! what a way to get to know you Amacker! Lee left back to Bali, I got your phone number, and planned to call and the next thing I know I'm sucked into Richards blogspace and praying and hoping and loving and listening to beautiful music and soooo relieved to hear you are back with us. I shared many emails and phone calls with Lee who just adores you so much. I know it will be one of the happiest days of his life when he lays eyes on you again. Richard, you give a whole new meaning to Brother, and I feel so much fondness for you for loving-willing your sister through it all and keeping us out here so well informed and connected. I look forward to meeting all of you.
