Where For Art Thou, Oh Amacker

Amacker is now in Room C105a.

If you come in through the rose garden entrance, right near the parking garage, C wing is immediately on your right as you walk in. In fact, you can look in her room as you're walking up.

And if you want to call her, during polite hours, her number is (650) 498-3136.

Amacker showed her Indepence on the 4rth.
She was really pleased that she
got to get out of bed... a bit~

When we got there Katybell was
assisting Amacker with the nurses to use her private bathroom in her
oversized sweet... Wow, nice penthouse~

We spent 6 happy hours with Amacker today. She was very talkative, stetchative with strong memory skills about our
previous conversations.. and we really had a wonderfull time.

We brought a party platter i created with organic foods... i tried bringing little portions of 20 or so different things.

In 6 hours.. with coaxing she had 15 rasperries
20 blueberries
1/2 cup of watermelon in wedges,
2 mini tomatoes,
.3 ounce of artichoke heart.
3/4 cup of water,
1/4 cup of diet coke.
1/5 of a banana chocolate muffin Andrea made.( or 3 small bites... So no real food.

Dinner time, I cut up a corner of
a delicious huge shell pasta stuffed with ricotta and a lite sauce from stanford room service... but that did not get in her mouth, nor did the green beans,, or a petite morsel of bread.. They were all no go's

All of things I put near her mouth
got a firm yes or a no rating.

In the afternoon we played the game
if you could have anything in the world to eat what would it be,,,
and the idea of the day was watermelon!

We decided on the Thursday menu.
Highlights are mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, mashed poratoes, fruit salad,
hot cocoa for breakfast.
She was not interested in any juice I put in front of her mouth today.. the hot mint tea at dinner was also a no.

The ice chest is across the hall.
Refill her glass with ice water.
and hold it up to her mouth between each bite.

Cut things into baby bird potions.
and feed her... If she doesnt eat
she will get a fever... and her body can't heal.

I think important to get it up to her lips as she cant do that right now. So visiting amacker means eating with her,, bite for bite showing her the food is good...

Bring something in already prepared
and feed it to her. Not a lot; just a party plate,, Something tranquil yet lovely.

Amacker also worked on creating her
Guestbook and used scissors and colored pens...
She titled her guestbook for you to sign.. Amacker Version 3.o!

The computer came out to play and she showed us some cool video of
kittie cat yawning and we laughed a lot.

What a terrific day!

4rth of July Health Day~
Amacker decided shortly after we got there that she would like
a french manicure on her toe nails.
She might as well look beautiful while she is hanging out at a health resort.. right?

We agreed that when she is ready to have her pretty toe nails done outside in shade in her private stanford suite garden someone will come over to do that. Until then I just rubbed her right foot with Stanford skin lotion.

Also she deserves to have some vitamin e lotion rubbed softly into her non-bandaged healing skin. Hydration! Health! Relaxing!

Tommorow she mentioned that she is planning to get her hair washed now that she can get in a wheelchair~
by the talented ladies at Stanford.
